Mr. Sonnenklar:
I doubt highly that a user of your products will read certified demand
letters from your company with the intention of finding customer-support
contacts. Still more doubtful is the notion that such a user will spend
his day in the county courthouse digging through records to find your
contact information; as this information--nor indeed, any evidence of
your connection with the company--does not appear to be available on the
New.net web site. Nor does your contact information turn up in a Web
search using the information currently available (first name, middle
initial, department). Rather, it almost seems as though you are ashamed
to be associated with either New.net or the letter that you wrote.
Regarding the "other issue", I figured I would mention it just to see if
you would find this upsetting enough to quibble back. Anyway, since I am
in a quibbling mood tonight, "I am not a customer support contact for
New.net...", together with other references to support contacts, seemed
to make the implication. Were I in an even more quibbling mood, however,
I would note that forwarding your customers' private mail, including
names and email addresses, appears to violate your company's privacy
agreements.
Best regards,
T. R. Gipson
